20th Century Decorative Arts

Adolf Beckert #4376 - Loetz, Adolf Beckert - 1909

Two-layer glass etched vase with partly symmetrical decoration representing a pond scene with waving water plants and at top dreamy stylized jugendstil motives to evoke the calmly moving water surface with air bubbles.
The high standard of the double edged etching technique and the Japanese influence in the decoration prove the craftmanship of Beckert in a very convincing way.
Raised Loetz signature near the base of the vase. Height 22,5 cm.
